Hot weather and long waits seemed to be the theme of the weekend at the Superprix, some great racing throughout and some good performances in the team!
In TKM Clubman Craig Summers had a good series of drives across the weekend, taking a win in one of the heats to line up P2 for the final, dropping to P3 off the start Craig recovered quickly to P2 but already the gap had grown considerably & so Craig settled to take P2 at the flag.
In TKM Extreme Harry Williams had a day filled with bad luck, despite qualifying P3 a nosecone penalty removed his lap time & so he started his heats well down the order. Some tough heats would see him line up P12, after a solid start and some good overtakes Harry was unfortunately taken out at the mid-stage point which dropped him to the back. Harry battled on to come home in P17 which really didn’t reflect his pace across the weekend.
In Junior X30 Katie Ashman continues to impress, a DNF in one of the heats due to getting caught up in two other drivers crashes meant Katie started further back than she would have liked in P18. A tough start meant Katie dropped right back and had to work hard to battle up to 15th by the flag before a nosecone penalty dropped Katie to P17.
In Senior X30 Charlie Grommett competed in his second X30 event, improving in every session throughout the weekend Charlie would also experience some bad luck in the heats as he would be collected in other peoples crashes. Charlie would set his PB lap times in the final as he would battle up 10 positions to come home in P15.
Ben Boby was another driver who continued to improve lap times and set PB’s throughout the weekend, Ben was using an OTK team kart for the second time and has made considerable progress on it already. Some good battles in the final would see him move up 3 positions and final P23.
Luke Boby showed good pace in numerous sessions across the weekend and enjoyed some good battles on track, Luke looked as though he could be on for a strong result in the final until he suffered an unfortunate mechanical failure and had to retire.
The team are now spending the new few weeks to conduct numerous coaching days at a variety of venues such as Whilton Mill, PFI & Hooton Park, we will also be hosting a number of new drivers as they take part in Introductory Days in which all the equipment will be supplied for them. Get in touch to check our dates & availability and book your spot with us!

A hot weekend on & off track for the team at weekend!
Zak Oates took Pole in TQ in his first ever Senior Rotax meeting, having never driven the tyre before amongst some excellent competition. After some great drives Zak would take P2 in the final.
Katie Ashman continues to show how much she has improved this season, strong pace all day would see Katie on the back of the front pack in a very strong field, P10 would be Katie’s reward in the final.
Charlie Gromett returned to TKM Extreme at the weekend, some of his best drives this season would see him pushing forward all day with some really strong pace, a great drive in the final would see him come home in P8.
Willoughby Steel competed in his first meeting off novice plates in Jnr TKM, Willoughby had excellent speed throughout the weekend, a lack of race experience meant he couldn’t quite convert into a result at this stage. Lots more to come from Willoughby and a solid P12 was his result this time out.
Adriel Ngwa had some great battles in the heats, unfortunately a huge crash in heat 2 in which Adriel was put over a tyre wall meant he sustained a number of injuries and couldn’t compete in the final. Best wishes from everyone in the team on a speedy recovery Adriel!
Next up the team are at the Shenington Superprix before a number of coaching days and Introductory days over the coming weeks! Get in touch to book your slot!

Positive weekend across the team at Shenington!
In TKM Extreme Harry Williams put in his some of his best drives so far this season, setting fastest laps in a couple of sessions and coming home P4 in the final.
Archie Styant suffered a DNF in the heats after being taken out, starting further back than he would expect he battled away despite carrying a number of issues to finish P9.
In Junior X30 Katie Ashman showed again how much she is continuing to improve, running in the front pack all Sunday and setting fastest laps along the way, arguably Katie’s best performance to date with P4 in the final being her reward.
In Senior X30 two of the competing three drivers would be trying new equipment. Luke Boby demonstrated his improvements this season with some good drives on race day to finish P9 in the final.
Charlie Gromett tried an X30 for the first time, improving each time out and steadily building his speed, Charlie would be very competitive in numerous sessions on Sunday & would come home P10 after a nosecone penalty incurred at the start.
Ben Boby tried a team OTK Exprit kart for the first time over the weekend, building confidence across the weekend and setting PB’s in every session of the weekend, Ben would come home P13 in the final.
In Junior Rotax Adriel Ngwa could not attend Saturday testing and so played catch up slightly on Sunday morning, working hard and making some good adjustments during the heats Adriel steadily improved, after a good battle in the final Adriel came home in P9.
In Junior TKM Harry Bloor would show some real determination to battle through the weekend despite not being 100%, a mechanical failure in one of the heats meant Harry had to start further back than he would expect. Just to compound his bad luck Harry was then taken out at the start of the final, battling back to P12 at the flag.
Next up for the team is Rissington for the TKM 0 plate followed by coaching days!

Quick call back to the last few weeks and some of the coaching days the team held.
A great day at Whilton Mill as we welcomed newcomers Cerys Pettitt and Jack Ryzman to their first day with us. Both drivers did brilliantly, Cerys had been out of the seat for a long time but made significant progress through the day in her junior X30. Jack had not been in a 2 stroke kart before but really came alive in the afternoon sessions in the Jnr TKM he was driving!
Harry Bloor & Adriel Ngwa both did really well in their Junior Rotax’s as they got valuable laps in and worked on some individual development areas.
Willoughby Steel showed how much progress he’s made within the last few months in his Junior TKM as he put in consistently smooth fast laps throughout the day.
We also travelled to Rissington for the Saturday practice day of their club meeting.
Adriel impressed again in Junior Rotax in only his 2nd visit to the track, showing strong pace throughout the afternoon.
Willoughby visited the circuit for the first time and didn’t brilliantly as he got to grips with the circuit in his Junior TKM very quickly!
Dan Barnes made his 2nd visit to the track in his Junior X30, making big efforts throughout the day which would see Dan make good progress as he continues to work towards being ready to race.

Lewis Wadley took the win in seniors, a 2nd/3rd/7th in his heats with excellent pace securedZ Pole position for the final, Lewis led the opening couple of laps until the red flag came out due to floodlight failure, this meant results were issued on the final grid positions thus giving Lewis the win

Both drivers using team prepared engines to great effect!
Next stop is Kimbolton for the next round of the British Championship & it’ll be great to have a lot of the team back together again!
A good weekend at the latest Shenington club round, we had two drivers attending in Jnr TKM.
Charlie Webb took the win in the final with an excellent, mature drive, taking the lead on lap 2 Charlie pulled a gap that he would manage throughout to take a comfortable victory. Charlie also took two heat wins on his way to overall victory using team prepared engines.
Sam Howarth finished a brilliant 6th place in the final after a dnf in heat 2 with a broken rear bumper meant he started further back than he perhaps should have. Sam showed excellent pace in the dry & is steadily improving his racecraft to have a really good race in the final, it was great to see him happy after the final with both the result & his performance!
Zak Oates was in dominant form across the weekend in the Jnr TKM Festival winning every race & taking a comfortable victory of nearly 5 seconds in the grand final!

Joe Harrison & Aaron Lask continued to have terrible luck through the weekend, both showing glimpses of the pace they are capable of but unfortunately not coming away with the results they deserve for their efforts
Well done to Zak Oates on retaining his English Championship & also the SP plate again which makes it the 3rd straight year the team have come away with the Superprix win in Jnr TKM
Excellent weekend for the team at Kimboltons July round

Morgan Kidd finished a solid 7th after excellent pace throughout the day but penalties in the heats ultimately scuppered her chances.
Thom Chance continues to improve and took the novice award so all 4 drivers came away with a trophy!
The most recent round of the British Championship at Fulbeck was a tough one for us as a team, struggling in testing & qualifying for pace in both jnr’s & snr’s. However we pulled together as a team & worked our way out of the situation to achieve some good results & solid points scores for most of our drivers! Amazing effort by everyone involved in the team!
Well done to Zak Oates for his win in final 1 & 2nd in final 2 in Jnr TKM
Another podium for Zak Oates in Jnr TKM at the recent Shenington club round. Zak led the final for a number of laps and had to recover well from dropping to 4th after being pushed off track to cross the line in 2nd place. Charlie Webb & Sam Howarth both had good drives during the day without the results to show for their efforts & pace, Sam also took fastest lap in a heat which was great to see!
East Anglian Cup winners for the 2nd year in a row in Jnr TKM!
Charlie Webb was in excellent form all weekend to win in Jnr TKM taking 4 wins out of 5 races across the weekend! Charlie led the final from lights to flag, despite being under constant pressure he made no mistakes & looked very comfortable at the front which was great to see!
Morgan Kidd also finished a comfortable 3rd on track in the final but a nosecone penalty on the very last corner denied her a deserved podium.
Jack Nicholson put in an excellent recovery drive after a difficult weekend including an engine seize to make up the most places in the final and drive from 22nd to 8th.

In Jnr TKM Zak Oates took 2nd place with Jack Nicholson in 4th & newcomer to the team Astin Wigley finishing in 5th. Astin also took the first heat win with Zak & Jack finishing in 2nd & 3rd!
After some good qualifying heats the team were confident of great results in both Jnr & Snr TKM after showing excellent pace through the weekend, unfortunately the event was cancelled before the finals could take place so trophies were then awarded for grid positions for the finals. This meant Zak Oates took 2nd place in Jnr TKM which was a small consolation for the team overall.
Zak Oates took the win in Jnr TKM in fine style at Shenington, Jack Nicholson had a solid final after some great heats to come home in 7th
Zak Oates took 2nd place in the Jnr TKM final at Kimbolton, Zak led from the lights to the last lap but a small lapse in concentration saw him run wide & have to settle for 2nd place. Jack Nicholson took a solid 6th place to cement his lead in the club championship with only a few rounds to go!
Adam Jones took an excellent 3rd place in Jnr TKM in only his second meeting with the team which was also his first podium! Zak Oates returned to the podium with an excellent 2nd place at Rissington despite starting the final in 11th!
Amy Duke has joined the team for 2018 and since working with the team has shown huge improvements and continues to develop & progress up the grid. The most recent Super One Round at Rowrah saw Duke match her best over points haul at S1, this was backed up by an excellent 7th place finish at the most recent Rissington club round after starting the final 12th!
We are confident there’s still much more to come from Amy and are looking forward to seeing the progress over the coming months.

Setting the pace throughout Saturday our drivers in Jnr & Snr TKM looked like real contenders for wins & multiple podiums at the most recent round of the Shenington Championship.
Unfortunately the race day was then cancelled due to snow which although disappointing for us based on our drivers form on the Saturday, it did mean that Zak Oates secured the SKRC Winter Series Championship to add to his Kimbolton title!
A very strong weekend for the team saw our drivers at the sharp end of both the Jnr & Snr TKM grids throughout the weekend.
Zak Taylor took 2nd place in Jnr TKM in his first full weekend with the team whilst Zak Oates did enough to clinch the Winter a Series Championship in Jnr TKM.

Zak Oates took 2nd place at the first round of the HKRC championship at Kimbolton. Despite some tricky heats which included being taken out before the start causing a nosecone penalty, Oates looked more than capable of taking the win having set 2 out of 3 fastest laps. However more terrible luck would strike when the driver immediately in front of Oates broke down at the start of the final dropping Oates to around 7th. He would recover with an excellent drive to work his way back to 2nd and close the leader down by over 2 seconds whilst setting the fastest lap before having to settle for 2nd position. A strong start to his 2018 campaign with plenty more still to come!
Zak Oates took his second win in two weeks in Jnr TKM, this time at Shenington. Commanding drives in the heats saw a 5th from 16th & two wins to put Oates on pole for the final. Two good heats in difficult conditions would see Oates line up for the final in 2nd place. A good start saw Oates working with the leader to pull out a sizeable gap, just over mid race would see Oates make his move for the lead and then proceed to control the race to take the chequered flag and the win!
Zak Oates took another 2nd place at Shenington at the most recent SKRC round. Excellent drives through the heats would see Zak start the final on pole, whilst initially dropping to 3rd Zak recovered back to 2nd place and despite having the pace he just couldn't find a way into the leadm therefore having to settle for 2nd at the flag whilst again demonstrating his ability!
Robert Welham finished his junior karting career with an excellent victory at the Whilton Mill Britains Finest event in Jnr TKM.
Despite 'nipping-up' his best engine on Friday, the team worked tirelessly to get the engine back on the pace for the rest of the weekend & Welham repaid their work by putting in another tactical masterclass in the final to take a fine victory!
Preparations are already underway for Roberts 2018 senior campaign in which he will compete in Super One along with selected events.
Zak Oates added another trophy to his collection with 2nd place in Jnr TKM at the latest round of the SKRC championships. Oates actually led the final onto the last lap having worked his way up from 4th on the grid but on this occasion couldn't quite close out the win, excellent pace all day however gives a preview of what's to come from the young man!
Zak Oates recently joined the team in Jnr TKM and in his second event with us he managed 3rd position in the final at the most recent round on the Shenington Club Championship! This leaves Zak firmly in contention for the championship win with 3 rounds left to go!
